Greetings on behalf of the Gamma Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® I am honored to serve as the 2023-2024 President of this chapter. Gamma Nu Omega is the home to four former members of the International Board of Directors:  29th International President, Dr. Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson; International Assistant Secretary and Editor-in-Chief ®, Dr. Earnestine Green McNealey; 5th South Atlantic Regional Director, Mrs. Odessa Nelson (deceased); and, 18th South Atlantic Regional Director, Mrs. Sharon Brown Harriott. We have over 350 active members who are dedicated to serving the greater Columbia, SC Midlands communities.

 

Service and sisterhood have been the cornerstone of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority since 1908. Our Gamma Nu Omega members are committed to serving our community with the programs of our current International President, Danette Anthony Reed under the theme “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood.”
