Meetings and Membership
Meeting Information (Members Only)
Gamma Nu Omega Chapter meetings are open to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month (except July & August) at Midlands Technical College-Airport Campus, West Columbia, SC 29169. Note: The November 2025 meeting is closed and non-Gamma Nu Omega visitors will not be admitted. Visiting members may attend the December 2025 meeting.
Visiting members may attend two meetings and are asked to please bring your Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated financial card and picture ID, a transfer verification form from a chapter with proper signatures or an Ivy Leaf Magazine with address label attached along with a picture ID. Business professional attire is required.
Reactivate Membership
We welcome members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to reactivate their membership through Gamma Nu Omega Chapter. Please come to one of our chapter meetings, contact us for more details, or visit https://portal.aka1908.com/s/request-a-transfer to submit your request via the member portal.
Transfer Membership
Financial members who wish to transfer your membership into Gamma Nu Omega Chapter must submit a Transfer request from your current chapter or from the Corporate Office if you are currently a General Member by visiting https://portal.aka1908.com/s/request-a-transfer. Once your request has been approved from your current chapter or Corporate Office, you will be contacted by the Gamma Nu Omega financial secretary to inform you of the fees that are due or you may contact the financial secretary at gnochapterpg@gmail.com for additional information.
Graduate Membership
Graduate membership is by invitation only. Women seeking membership should visit www.aka1908.com for more information regarding the sorority and qualifications for membership.
Gamma Nu Omega Chapter hosts public events such as the annual Pink Ice Gala, biennial FashionettaTM, and a Community Day that prospective candidates can become acquainted with chapter members and learn about service activities offered to local communities.
